Mentoring PhotoFounded in 2016, Friends of the Children–SF Bay Area improves long-term outcomes for youth who face Adverse Childhood Experiences (or ACEs) and the immense barriers created by systemic racism. Our mission is to effect generational change by empowering youth through a long-term relationship with a Professional Mentor for 12+ years, no matter what! Our organization is part of a national network that has been disrupting generational cycles of poverty, violence, and trauma for 30 years.
